One of those games! We were all over them, having many shots on goal and controlling the play. Within minutes of the start we had shots from Ant, Steve P, Chris H and Chris M, most on target but none of which crept in. They were hardly in our territiory for the entire first half, yet they went in 1-0 up due to an intercepted pass along the back line. The second half started much the same way, with Chris H and Chris M having several decent opportunities before they caused some confustion and had the luck of the bounce as ball bobbled around on the edge of the area. The ball finally squeezed under Steve N and luckily crept between Barry's legs to make it 2-0. We should have been 4-0 up by this point. Our pressure finally payed off as Chris H played in Chris M to fire in a well taken goal. With a couple of minutes to go Chris M was played through and finished calmly to draw level.
In the end it was good to draw level, but it was a game we should have killed off early on.
Commendable performances from Ant and Chris Mills. Nobody played badly, we created a hatful of chances but we need to be more clinical at finishing to win games like this (particularly me).
