An unfortunate start as Steve Nic was crocked in the first minute, so Shaggy came to right back with Stops up front. Shaggy was later scythed down as he went past their last defender who got a blue card. We outplayed them for most of the game, especially during the time when they had a man off. Their goalie made some great saves and Stops directed one past the keeper for a deserved lead. They scored just before half time to level it.

In the second half George came back for the first time in 3 years. They started a little better, Barry pulling off a couple of good saves. Their guys got very shirty and the ref was a bit weak in dealing with the dissent, though on other things he was pretty good. They had a disputed goal which Barry says went through the side netting, but it was given as a goal. We came back and had a few good shots saved by their keeper. With 5 minutes remaining Chris H was put through by a lovely chip from Steve P and despatched it into the top corner. Steve P was then blue-carded and we hung on till the final whistle.
