A good victory against our nemesis team from the 2nd division. We played well in the first half, Chris M firing in a superb shot early on, then Sam chipping the keeper from a tight angle. Chris H should have made it 3 but skewed wide when clear. They had one or two efforts but mostly Steve N and Gary kept their very skilful strikers at bay. In the second half they played with more urgency but again we contained them and Barry was solid as ever. We failed with another couple of chances to extend the lead before they scored a decent goal with about 5 minutes remaining. Barry again made a superb save diving to his right to deny an angled shot and we saw out the game to win 2-1.

And no mention of the fact that we didn't miss the deserter...we did actually but don't tell him.

Well done all. I'm enjoying it a lot this season and we're proving very hard to beat. Terrific commitment form everyone once again.
