A very enjoyable and competitive game. We went one up with a superbly taken goal by Chris M after a lovely throughball by Steve P. There were relatively few chances for either side, but they were very lucky to level it just before half time. A speculative shot was comfortably saved by Barry but as it was parried to the side of the area it fell right to the feet of one of their guys who slotted it in from a tight angle.
In the second half we played much the better football but still neither side had many chances. Near the end one of their players made a run right through our penalty box behind the defence to receive the ball, then fired into the goal. Unfortunately the refereee didn't spot the infringement and gave a goal.
