Missing 3 regular players, Gary, Clive and Tim/Barry, so Boss Hog moved things around a little. Ken, our latest addition to the squad, started between the posts, Steve Pugh centre back with Anthony on the right and Steve Nic on the left. The old partnership of Chris M and Chris H started up front with Chris M sitting the deeper of the 2. Boss started as sub for the first time this season.

Started well and created lots of chances with Chris M squeezing one underneath the keeper half way through the first half. Went in 1-0 up, it should have been more. The Ships Crew and all young, fit strong lads and they came into the game more in the second half managing to hit the post twice but again we had more than enough chances to have won the game much more comfortably.

Ken did well between the posts but looked a little rusty after his 10-year lay off. Made a great save from Steve Nic late in the second half! Steve Pugh, Commander in Chief, was strong at the back but didn’t get the freedom he normally gets in that role. Steve Nic played his mandatory ‘easily intercepted cross field pass’ in the opposition half, which was a great improvement. Anthony had a great game and almost put one away. Chris M and Chris H both worked tirelessly up front and created loads of chances between them. Iain got his first win and looked desperate to get on the park – keep up the training!
