We had the bulk of the posession in the first half and created a couple of clear-cut chances. Barry made a fine save and we were well organised and didn't let them through. They had a ringer in the team who caused some problems but rarely in dangerous areas; Gary and the rest of the defence kept him in check.
The second half was also well contested and the sides were pretty even in posession and chances, Chris M causing disruption up front and Steve P roaming and tackling in the middle. Steve N and Chris H found some space down the wings and kept them on their toes. They scored a decent enough goal with about 10 minutes left, after which we stepped up to a 2-2-1 and caused them more defensive problems. Chris H drilled in a deserved equalizer and shortly afterwards Steve N could have taken the tie for the Knights but shot narrowly wide. Their ringer wriggled his way through and scored a good goal with about 2 minutes to go and unfortunately we weren't able to make the breakthrough in the time left.
