The 2nd half was quite even in the opening exchanges, however our opponents were willing to stand off us, which meant Jamie and Chris Mills saw lots of the ball and Jamie used his pace to good effect to put us 3-1 up with little time remaining.

At this point, our opponents looked a beaten side, however we allowed them to creep back in to it, which resulted in Barry being beaten by "Mr Stepover" at the near post. It then started getting a little physical and we lost our discipline for a split second, which was enough for them to find a gap in our defence and their best player finished off a good move to make it 3-3. With only a minute left, Chris Mills was put through with only the keeper to beat, however unfortunately he overstretched with the shot and put it wide of the far post and the chance was gone. Overall, it was a good performance where we created plenty of opportunities and played some good football, however the feeling amongst the players and staff was it was 2 points dropped rather than 2 points gained. Match Report
We started quite nervously and should have really capitalised on our opponents being 1 player short for the first few minutes, however they were quite clever in the fact that they played very deep until their missing player arrived and hence we didn't manage to create a major opening.

However that said, with Jamie very lively up front and combining well with Chris Mills, it did not take long for Jamie to put us 1-0 up with a smart finish. Our opponents then had a dominant spell where they passed and moved well, which resulted in their best player dribbling around a couple of ours and unleashing a vicious shot which buried itself in the bottom far right corner of our net to make it 1-1.

Gary Neild then decided to show his face and he used his vocal support to fine effect by asking Barry about his "balls" in the middle of the game (which I thought was totally childish)! The end of the half finished well, with Clive doing some good interceptions in the middle of the park, Ant getting some good tackles in and Steve N controlling it from the back and it resulted in Jamie finishing off a good move to put us 2-1 up at the interval.

Good result boys! Let's learn to hang on to a lead when we get it though.
