Wow. 1-0, 1-3, 3-3, 3-4, 4-4, 5-4.
We started well and should have taken an earlier lead when we got round the back of their defence and Mike hit the post from the centre. We did take the lead, Chris H stabbing in a loose ball from close range. We had as much of the play, but their front guy Baz is such a clinical finisher that they put 3 past us without really breaking through the defence. Chris M was immense at the back, Mike & Tom helping to keep them away from the goal. We pulled a goal back before half time, again close in from Chris H after some good work by Jack.
In the second half we pressed more and Mike scored with a cheeky backheel from a fantastic throughball from Chris M. Ed puuled off some good saves to keep us level at 3-3 but could do nothing when the 4th goal was hammered in. You could see what it meant to them by their reaction and they played more defensiviely to hang onto the 4-3 lead. Late on, Chris H scored again from close range and in the final minute Mike crashed in a great shot to win it 5-4.
