Terrible game - we were 3 people short for various reasons, so we only had 4 players (including Barry) plus Boss Hogg. Luckily they only had 5 themselves which gave us a glimmer of hope.
We started off brighter, with Iain occupying one of their players while Chris, Tom and Steve played the ball. We were awarded a penalty after about 10 minues. Given the advice from Steve to play the ball hard and low into the corner Chris blasted it waist-high down the middle, the keeper having moved conveniently out of the way. We played some decent football and when Steve took a quick free kick down the channel Chris lifted the ball over the advancing keeper to take us into half time 2-0 up.
By this point they had worked out that Iain wouldn't be challenging for the ball so they used their extra player in attacks, outnumbering us every time. Their spirits were lifted on scoring within a minute of the second half and drew level soon after. It could have been worse but for some heroic saves by Barry who played a blinder. Our chances were few in the second half, and their continual outnumbering paid off as we tired, and they scored 2 more.
