This was the Muppets first game and although they weren't bad players they were not well organised. From the beginning we cut through a couple of times. Chris H was put through by Chris M for the first goal, the keeper being particularly poorly placed. Chris H doubled the lead with an almost identical goal shortly after. With Alex and Chris M looking dangerous on every move, Gary keeping their strikers well under control, Chris H and Steve N bombing up the wings it looked like it was going to be easy. We took our foot off the pedal a bit and a sweetly hit first-time strike from a corner brought them to 2-1. Just before half time a though ball caught their player in space an he levelled the score well against the run of play.
After half time the contest started off more even and Barry made a couple of good stops before Alex was put through to finish a neat move driving through the middle. Soon after Chris M played Alex in, who again finished neatly. We dominated the last 10 minutes, keeping the ball and threatening more goal.
This was Alex's last game for a while since he's back to Uni. Thanks Alex, your contribution has been much appreciated!
