Match Report

Well last nights game was full of disappointments first overall we played rubbish which considering we only started with the Cat and RSP in their natural positions was to some degree expected. In hindsight at half time I should have brought Gary back to Ctr defense pushing either Steve Nic or Luis into the centre mid role with Shaggy back where he does most damage. By the time I’d realised we were in trouble Gary had become isolated and Shaggy and RSP were spending to much time working deep in defense to offer anything in attack. By then it was impossible to communicate the changes and make them happen but if I’d acted sooner we might not have ended up under so much pressure and won the game so I take full responsibility.

That said I want to focus on the positives– first we played crap but still got a point and we’ve kept our ability to postpone if we need it. Also for the first 10 to 15 mins we looked potent and proper, had a good number of opportunities and a cracking goal!!! We also had a great effort from Shaggy that hit the post and would have gone in if the goal had been leaning the right way. Overall I’m pleased with portion of the game but as it went on we completely lost control of the match, I should have changed it at halftime as the pressure was starting to build by then. We should all have learnt a lot from this game which in itself is good, if we all take on board the realities of what we have learnt (me included) we can push on again. We can use this knowledge to make us stronger, able to focus on what we are individually good at but more importantly using these strengths to help our fellow teammates and the team.

As it turns out the biggest positive of all is that Sparks, Galacticos and Fash all lost, the only one of what I consider to be the top five to get 3 points was Inter Melager so last nights could be the most important point we win this season, we are still 2nd and in fact despite playing crap have gained rather than lost ground.

Man of the match this week – tempted to give it to Shaggy for all the work he put in however it has to go to Steve Nic for being really effective on the right and getting forward often enough to offer a goal threat and scoring a beauty.

I've been plagiarised!! I feel used and dirty. Come on guys rally round - I expect to see some comments its not our reation when we play well that counts its how we behave when haven't that shows what we're about. Comments Now or am I the only one with an opinion!!!!!!

By the way Score was 1 1 Shaggy got one and Steve Nic got a cracker.

Wasn't such a bad game but just in stark contrast to the form that we have been showing recently, hence the fact that we are all disappointed. Good thing that the results went our way and at least we got a point.

We could easily have lost but thanks to some resolute defending and Shaggy proving a real handful up front we can still hold our heads up high..................... I was brilliant by the way!

Who gave Steve Nic a cracker by the way and why? It's not even Xmas?

How come shaggy has been credited with my goal!  I wouldn't mind but they are pretty rare.
