Match Report

Ok, I think I have got the goals correct but it is a long way away so please correct if they are not quite right but what a team performance. Goal of the game had to be the top left corner effort by Alex leaving the defence and keeper for dead.
Individuals to note were all. Clive left back, a great solid performance tracking back well with some really important tackles. Gary, centre back and obviously a bad time of the month for him but a rock at the back and great communication. Ant kept his head up and had some great touches even with the abuse he was getting from the centre back suffering with his hormones.
Alex had them guessing the whole game along with Chris and as pair the passing and interlinking undid their defence time and time again. It could easily have been double without their keeper pulling off some fine saves to keep them alive. I would say to keep them in it but they never were.
The best team performance we have shown for a long long time. Top notch!!

First of all, Anthony we play in yellow !
Secondly, remember what happened against Shibby when we gave the ball away in the last minute and they equalised. Uncle Hogg wouldn't have wanted to see that again.
Excellent performance, I agree. Solid at the back and good listening, even if you did put earplugs in at half time Anthony !
Cris and Alex were immense and it's good to see Shaggy on the score sheet again.
We've nothing to fear in this league and if we keep to our system and communicate we could finish in the top 2 if not....................

Hey Steves, do you think we'll get our places back?
Hope the weather was better than it is in Bombay!

I think Steve will!!!!

Fantastic performance - well done all.  What a selection dilemma for the boss!

What a great win last week, well played all especially Clive & Ant who came in cold against the top of the league and really contributed to spoiling their night. Alex and Shaggy I understand you both combined really well to get a pair of goals each and of course credit must go to the Little General at Ctr Back who despite being menopausal (according to Ant) played another blinder while marshalling the troops. Of course I can’t forget Barry who managed to stay awake long enough to pull off a couple of great saves & not get lobbed. Man of the match though must be Clive – Well played and thank you for stepping up in our hour of need. Shaggy it was a close call for you seeing as how you’ve improved your goal tally by 200% but you can’t have it till you get at least a hat-trick.
