Set up in a 311 formation with Barry in goal, Chris H, Gary and Steve at the back, Alex in midfield and Chris M up front.  This proved a solid formation and Inter created very few clear chances.  It also left Chris M and Alex with more space to work in which they used well.  Chris M threaded a great through ball for Alex to finish with aplomb and we were 1 up.  The second came from a quickly taken floated corner from Chris M; Alex took one touch and drove it into the roof of the net.  2-0 at half time and well worth it.  Second half continued in the same way and Chris M and Alex combined again for Alex to complete his hatrick.  With 10 minutes to go they got one back after the ball broke fortunately for them and we prepared ourselves for the inevitable charge as they tried to save the game.  Chris H had other ideas and made one of his many forward runs and, after a one two with Chris M, finished neatly in the corner.  4-1 and their heads dropped.   

The defence never looked stretched and Gary was a rock at the very heart, obviously the place he needs to be!  Chris H did a tremendous defensive job and got forward as often as possible to add considerable weight to the attack.  Barry did not have his busiest game put pulled off a couple of great saves when required.  Alex and Chris M were a constant threat and were always available as an outlet.  They definitely benefited from having more space to play in. 

Probably one of our best team performances and I will not even mention Chris H's missed penalty.

It was better than Ronaldo's

First of all really well played, and a very good and balanced match report (all be it a little late) although I see it failed to mention a missed penalty that I seem to remember but maybe that’s just my memory playing tricks, what do you think Bungle!!

Our best team performance and a result to go with it. Man of the match must be Shaggy who worked his socks off making 3 goals and defending like a demon from the front. Bungle and RSP were excellent, Alex played a blinder, and Gary had another superb game and Barry well I’m not looking at transfers any more.  

However that said 1 good game doesn’t make a season, we played at a good level but there were many areas that need improvement. If we are to keep winning we need to address these areas and keep improving. When on top we have a tendency to switch off and stop doing the things that are winning us the game, it happened on Tuesday just before they scored and that woke us up again, I appreciate you guys are working hard and maybe can’t see it but the movement becomes poor so we dwell on the ball in fact we almost become lazy. It could be that its too easy and you relax but that costs us, it did against Shibby and
