Match Report
A really enjoyable game. We started extremely strongly and in fact in the first 10 minutes we were playing some excellent one touch stuff and Chaseside were not getting near us. The pressure told midway through the first half as Steve Pugh collected the ball on the halfway line, had a couple of touches and then unleashed a shot which had the force of a Tornado F3 after burner and the ball buried itself in the top right hand corner of the net, with the Chaseside keeper motionless and hence we were 1-0 up. From this, Chaseside began to realise they were in a game and started pressurising our defence, however Gary and Paul were up to the challenge along with Barry and hence denied them a clear cut chance. With about 5 minutes left before half time, the ball came out from the defence and found Steve Pugh, he then clipped it over their defence for Chris Mills to run onto and Chris let the ball bounce and then connected very cleanly to bury it into the bottom corner, to make the scoreline 2-0. In the 2nd half, Boss Hogg decided to have a slight tactical change, by taking Paul off for Steve Nic and Steve Pugh went back to defence. It proved to be working for most of the half as we battled well with some good defensive play by all the team, however the hearts went a flutter when Gary decided to pass back to Barry, however the ball must have got stuck in some "Everton Toffee" as it slowed up dramatically to allow their most effective player to intercept and score. However, The "Knights" continued their fine defensive display by battling right to the end to record a superb 2-1 victory against one of their main rivals. "Up the Knights".

Bored with waiting... who is doing this report?
Thanks Trumpton.
No comment on the totally unjust and harsh sending off then?
I saw the match and I am really interested in your goalkeeper. He played out of his skin and made some fantastic saves. His distribution was good and kept the communication with his defenders. He even had a comforting word for that hot head in the team who went and got himself sent off. It was amazing to see a keeper playing so well even disguised as George Doors!
Well done all super team effort. Man of the match who knows but the Cat pulled off some great saves when the chips were down George Doors's comments makes me think hes feeling unappreciated. Re the sending off - I'm doing an Arse Wenger, I didn't see our player hacking away in front of the ref who had just blown for a foul in our favour! very unjust. If the player is found guilty he will be fined a weeks wages.
Ooh, that'll cost me.
