A slightly strange game which we won fairly easily and could have won by a score bigger than Arsenal's on the same night. We put them under some pressure in the first half and Steve P's shot had their goalie doing some championship juggling before dropping it into the net. The ball was always in their half although we didn't create too many clear chances. A rare breakaway saw them equalise against the run of play just before the break.
After half time we took the lead again with a well-taken goal from Jamie. We then piled on the pressure and should have scored a hatful with chances going to Chris M, Chris H and Jamie which went unconverted. We won a free kick just outside the area which Jamie got through the wall and beyond the keeper.
Overall a slightly disappointing performance on a surprisingly slippy pitch, (particularly from me) but 3 points are always welcome.
