After a lively start it was clear that the game was going to be played at a very fast pace against a team half the age of the majority of us. A defensive error gave chris howarth the chance to sqeeze a shot from the penalty spot to the bottom left beating the keeper and putting us in front in the first five minutes. The pressure and pace of the Gills was stepped up when they bought on Peter Crouch's long lost pie eating cousin who seemed to control the game from the front. The defence started to fragment as pie boy(cant be botherd to type in whole name) demanded more attention from our midfield. On the break the gills equalised on the stroke of half time stating their intentions for the second half. The second half started with no let up of pace from both sides and some good moves from ourselves left their keeper having to make some good saves fom shots from trumpton and the two Chris's . After number of great saves from Barry coming off his line to deny them fom scoring the second and third goals soon found the net. By this point Chris Mills was being pulled out of position coming back to defend and losing our outlet for goal, it was all hands on deck trying to deny pie boy from feeding two very quick gills midfield players. Steve Pugh was running everywhere making crucial takles and worked hard to release Steve Nicks down the right wing resulting in good efforts on goal. With no time on the ball, Gary decieded to push on but with Chris H stuggling to contain pie boy a fourth goal was to follow. With it all to do next week the Knights need to re-group with a positive outlook and finish the way they started the season......(did I mention that I didn't get a game..?)...possibly not.
