Full Time: 1-1 AET: 1-1 Penalties: Us 2/3 Them 3/3
We should have won this in normal time but for some incredible saves by their goalie. We had several one-on-ones but they ended up scoring first. A free kick was chipped through and was going straight to Barry but for a deflection which took it right to their attacker who scored unopposed. In the second half we had several more one-on-ones and a penalty which was struck well by Steve P but the goalie again made a really good save. Finally we scored an overdue goal a few minutes before full time. Extra time had few chances and it went to penlties; 3 each.
The first ones both went close to the respective keepers but still went in (Chris Mills). Gary struck a well-directed penalty but again their keeper pulled off a remarkable save with his elbow. They scored their penalty as did Chris H. Their last penalty also went in giving them a narrow and undeserved victory. Well played SK - on another day or another keeper it could have been 5-1 to us.
Well done to Chris for not taking the mick out of those who missed a penalty
Yes, thank you Chris for not taking the mickey out of me and "Garibaldi"
Surely the score was 1-1 and since when did penalties in a shoot out get counted in the scoreline and also on players goal tallys!
I'd have to do a load more programming to cater for penalties etc.
(Oh, and it increases my goal tally!).
I'm starting a new thread on the bulletin board, take a look.
