A slightly frustrating game in that we were on top throughout, but had a nightmare 10 minutes in the first half. They scored the first with a badly mishit shot that happened to go straight to on of their guys 3 yards out. For the 2nd we were caught upfield and hit on the break and then a 3rd soon after. We fought back, Chris H hitting the underside of the bar before Alex laid on a pass for Chris H to this time side foot into the roof of the net. He then spurned a 3 on 1 just before half time, at 1-3.
We dominated the second half from the off, they were trying to waste time from the first minute. Alex worked hard to create openings but they packed their defence. Chris M, Josh and Tom all had efforts charged down as it became a bit frustrating, then Chris H was grappled in the area and the ref gave a penalty. Unfortunately the goalie (Welchy) saved it, but shortly after Tom hit a great strike hard into the bottom corner to give us hope. We sieged their goalmouth but were unable to get the equaliser.

Luckily both Expecting Toulouse and Phoenix lost, meaning we are still 2 points clear and Alderholt move into third place, 3 points behind with a 10 goal gd worse than us. 2 more wins guarantees us 2nd place. That, coupled with a draw against Toulouse would get us the title.
