After a few minutes I counted their players to check they had 6 - it seemed like we had a man over all the time, they weren't getting a kick. We had plenty of the ball but didn't actually create that many clear chances. We pressed high and they didn't break into our half much but they also defended well. The pressing reaped a reward and we broke the deadlock when Tom robbed their defender and smashed in a shot. George kept their podgy attacker quiet, but late in the first half a parried shot fell to his feet which he poked home to take us 1-1 at half time. Chris M, Tom and Mike were snuffing out everything in midfield and Dave was gathering the balls well with Chris H marauding around their back line dragging the defenders around. Eventually out pressure paid off with George sidefooting a neat curling shot into the corner. The lights went off with 10 to go and when they came back on weathered a 2-minute storm before taking back control to see out the game.
