The game started in a lively manner. There was some confusion about the new rules, but Chris M soon showed how they can work by tackling the goalie; the rebound going into the net. He followed up with a great team goal and completed his hat-trick on about 10 minutes. We kept them to long shots and Sammy did well and was unfortunate when they took a speculative shot and he was beaten after 2 deflections on the way. 3-1 at half time.
The second half continued in much the same way and some quick thinking from Chris M saw him take a quick throw-in to leave Steve P to slot home neatly into the corner. Chris M again tackled the keeper and did some juggling skills to flick the ball over the keeper to take his tally to four and give us a 5-1 lead. Late in the game a promising move broke down to leave us exposed and they scored, taking it to 5-2.
