The first 2 minutes was a little disorganised and they broke in numbers posing a threat, but once we settled we controlled a lot of the ball. Neither side made many chances but it was good to watch. Tom and Ashley pressed high, giving them no time in defence, Mike and Steve worked tirelessly around the middle and Gary swept up at the back. Ashley broke the deadlock with a nice team goal finished well to take us 1-0 into the break.
We had two or three chances to extend the lead as we started to gain more possession, when Steve P had to come off with an injury to be replaced by Chris. Against the run of play their main attacker turned and shot into the corner. Ed made a really good save to stop us going behind before we created a couple more opportunities. A break in numbers late on saw Tom score to take us to a deserved win.
