Great performance, desrved it and more. We played well, from the start, containing them well and creating a few openings. We broke through with a fine team move, crisp passes between George and Ashley moved the ball upfield to Alex, who calmly slotted it past their giant keeper. The second arrived a few minutes later, Alex playing in Chris again with a calm finish. Mike patrolled the middle and the defence held firm, restricting them to long shots which Ed dealt with effectively. Just before half time Chris robbed thir back player and clipped it into the net. Half time a deserved 3-0.
After the break they started brightly and pressed hard. Ed made a couple of great saves and we also had chances to increase the lead. A mistake by Chris allowed them their clearest chance which they converted. The advantage was restored near the end with an individual effort from Alex as he drew the keeper and rolled it past him.
One of our best wins.
