They turned up with only 5 players, so we re-jigged our setup to be slightly more attacking. Gary had the ball in the net within a minute, but unfortunately was so far in the area that he was virtually on the goal line. We controlled posession and made the breakthrough when George cushioned a volley to Chris H who drove the ball home via a defender's hand. We then lost shape any they had a few chances as they played balls over the top to their lively forwards and they equalised before the break.
After half time we were still not making anything stick and passes going astray, though we did have quite a few shots their goalie was good. Ed made a couple of vital saves to stop them going ahead, which would have made things very awkward. A second goal from Chris H settled the nerves and we dominated again. Gary rounded off the scoring with a nicely controlled flick round the keeper.
