Well, we're in the cup semi-final after a bit of a scrappy game on pitch 2. The game started badly, several passes going astray and the failure to control a bobbling ball allowed Neil to be disposessed and their guy to break through and score. They didn't threaten much after that in the first half and we spurned a couple of decent chances before Josh fired in a well taken goal to take us in 1-1 at half time.

The second half followed a similar pattern with us becoming a bit more dominant, though not putting together moves or controlling the play and Barry coping well with what they threw at him. Josh, Gary and Neil had a couple of decent efforts and Steve nearly repeated his scoring efforts. Chris M dealt with their one decent player to keep him quiet at our back line. Full time ended at 1-1.

3 minutes of injury time to play. Josh was played through and finished well again to put us ahead. They pressed very high and we broke a couple of times. In the last minute Chris H chipped a ball over the last defender for Neil to clip past the keeper.

Good result, not the best performance but getting a bit better.

I agree, a bit of a rough start to the game. We didn't handle the ball well this week. Poor control and bad passing did let us down, but there were positives to take. Better communication from everyone, and determination to the end.

It's nice to get through to the semi's, but we need to work the ball a little better. Make they move and maintain composure. Focus on hitting the target rather than going for the roof of the net.
