A sterling performance against top of the table opposition. Gary, aided by Steve and Robbie, marshalled the defence well and they were having great trouble breaking us down. This was helped enormously by tireless work in midfield by Clive who kept their best player very quiet. On the few occasions they did get through, Tim dealt with them as usual. The best chance of the first half fell to Ian who picked the ball up on the left touchline, went past 2 of their players as if they were standing still and his shot needed a good save to prevent him from opening his account. 0-0 at half time, we felt we were going to get something out of the game.

The second half continued the same way with their chances being limited to long-range efforts and they were becoming very frustrated. About mid way through the half a mix up in defence let them in to score a bit of a soft goal off the post, giving Tim no chance. Gary pushed forward for the last 10 minutes and we created 2 or 3 decent chances but failed to put one away.
