We struggled to get a team together this week with injuries and general unavailability. That said Chris came up with a sixth man who for the life of me I cannot remember his name. Apologies there!

The game started much as expected for the first ten minutes with both sides sizing each other up with no real break through either way. Then midway through the first half the man with no name ran through our area. The ref let the first one go but on his second transgression the ref had no option but to blow for a penalty. The shot was hard but with no real direction nd I feel I should have done better. We continued to push and left options for them with their pace, to get at us and the second goal soon followed with probably their best player scoring low in the left from a tight angle with a cracking finish.

Second half we performed well with good performances from all and Shags endlessly running and tracking back. Out of the blue the man with no name then scored from apparently still inside the same penalty area where he could be found in the first half. Our renewed enthusiam was very quickly extinguished with a quick break and hard shot to the bottom left again and despite a despairing one hand flap the ball still made it into the bottom corner.

All in all a good performance from the main core of players and it was always going to be uphill with a new player especially on a damp and very fast pitch.
