We played some fine, expansive football, totally dominating the game. In the first half we had quite a number of good chances but went into the break only 1-0 thanks to Alex's shot which rebounded off the keeper for Chris H to volley into an empty goal.
After half time they had a period of rejuvenation and scored with pretty much their first shot on target of the game which was well struck. Their goalie made some unbelievable saves, diving full stretch to deny Alex, tipping Chris M's shot round the post and dflecting a shot by Chris H onto the post. Chris M hit a powerful shot from a narrow angle which their keeper finally allowed in, before Chris H extended the lead to 3-1 with a driven shot across the keeper.
We had opportunities enough to make it 10-1 but despite the 2 goals scored, Chris H missed a hatful of easy chances.
A good result though!
